Healthcare reform is a general rubric used for discussing major health policy creation or changes—for the most part, governmental policy that affects healthcare delivery in a given place. Healthcare reform typically attempts to:

Broaden the population covered by private or public health insurance
Expand the array of health care providers consumers may choose among
Improve the access to health care specialists
Improve the quality of health care
Decrease the cost of health care

the best way to make coverage available to everyone without raising costs for those that can afford to pay is that they will provide more insurance which is affordable to the citizens, and aside from that the wealth family must also help ..so that it will be implemented and be successful..

Day to Day…Live or Die?

As I lay here thinking what my life is going to be like
How this terrible tragedy corrupted my future plans
The pavement below my head the blazer on my chest
My life spins around me
Images of death circle my mind
Am I going to live or die
What are people going to think of me
I’m being rushed away
They take the pain and I lay and wait
For an answer
An answer from god a simple sign
To let me know
I can take the next breathe of air
To breath that sigh of relief
I’m lost in this commotion
Terrible confusion takes over my body
Why me why now
Its not my time
Let me stay just one more day
And that day I stayed

Remembering September 11th 2001

A very dear friend recently questioned my faith in God right after the terrorist attack on America.  Her question was simply put, "Where is your God today?"  She was very hurt, as all Americans were, so I tried not to react defensively.  Since that moment I have prayed and grieved over the disastrous events.  However, I believe I have found some comfort in knowing where my God was the morning of September 11, 2001.  He was indeed very busy.
First of all, he was trying to discourage people from taking the hijacked flights.  Those four planes had the capacity to carry over 1000 passengers, yet there were only 266 on board. God was on four commercial flights giving terrified passengers the ability to stay calm.  Not one of the family members who was called by a loved one on one of those planes said that passengers were screaming in the background.  On one of the flights He was giving strength to passengers to try to overtake the hijackers.
He was busy trying to create obstacles for employees trying to reach the World Trade Center on that Tuesday morning.  On any given day, the buildings could hold 50,000 workers.  It was a miracle in itself that 30,000 fewer were in the building that terrible day.  How many of the people who were employed at the WTC told the media that day that they were delayed from reaching work on Tuesday because of traffic delays or various other reasons. God held up two 110 story buildings for over an hour so that two-thirds of the workers could get out.
Although this is without a doubt the worst thing I have seen in my life, I can see God’s miracles in every bit of it.  I can’t imagine going through such a difficult time and not believing in God.  Life would be hopeless !emoticon

It all depends on the way you look at things !

emoticon                    One day a father and his rich family took his son to a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be. They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "Very good Dad!" "Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked. "Yeah!" "And what did you learn?"
The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden, they have the stars.
Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon."
When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.
His son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!"
Isn’t it true that it all depends on the way you look at things? If you have love, friends, family, health, good humor and a positive attitude towards life you’ve got everything! You can’t buy any of these things, but still you can have all the material possessions you can imagine, provisions for the future, etc., but if you are poor of spirit, you have nothing!

God Exists !

A man went to a barber shop to have his hair and his beard cut as
always.  He started to have a good conversation with the barber who attended him. They talked about so many things and various subjects.  Suddenly, they touched the subject of God. The barber said: "Look man, I don’t believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the client.

"Well, it’s so easy, you just have to go out in the street to realize
that God does not exist. Oh, tell me, if God existed, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be no suffering nor pain. I can’t think of loving a God who permits all of these things."

The client stopped for a moment thinking, but he didn’t want to
respond so as to cause an argument. The barber finished his job and the client went out of the shop. Just after he left the barber shop he saw a man in the street with a long hair and beard (it seems that it had been a long time since he had his hair cut and he looked so untidy).

Then the client again entered the barber shop and he said to the
barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say they don’t exist?" asked the barber. "Well, I am
here and I am a barber."

"No!" the client exclaimed. "They don’t exist because if they did
there would be no people with long hair and beard like that man who walks in the street."

"Ah, barbers do exist, what happens is that people do not come to
me."

"Exactly!"- affirmed the client. "That’s the point. God does exist,
what happens is people don’t go to Him and do not look for Him. That’s why there’s so much pain and suffering in the world."emoticon

"Live and let live."

People You Meet
Many people will walk in and out of your life,
but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head;
To handle others, use your heart.
Anger is only one letter short of danger.
Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
God gives every bird its food,
But He does not throw it into its nest.
He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses more;
He who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are acts of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.
The tongue weighs practically nothing,
But so few people can hold it.
Friends, you and me….
you brought another friend…
and then there were 3…
we started our group…
Our circle of friends…
and like that circle…
there is no beginning or end..emoticon

difficulties in studies

Almost nothing is known about the longer-term outcomes for children brought up by parents who have learning difficulties. While limited information is available about the effects of parenting by people with learning difficulties on early child development, there is none about the outcomes for older children through adolescence and into adulthood.

A key purpose of this study was to find out how successfully people born and brought up in a family headed by at least one parent with learning difficulties had managed the transition to adulthood. Exactly half of the now-adult children eventually recruited into the study had learning difficulties themselves.

What can I do to improve my self-esteem and body image?

Focus on what your body can do, instead of what it looks like. Think about what things your body can do - walk, wheel, run, dance, touch and feel…it’s a lot more than just something to look at!

Practice positive self-talk
Everyone has "voices in their head" - make sure you are saying positive things about yourself; ignore the insults!

Appreciate your good qualities
Remind yourself often about your unique qualities (yes - you do have them!). Make a list : are you caring?, loving?, sympathetic?, a good listener?, a good friend? Re-read your list often.

Spend more time with people who make you feel good and accept you for who you are today
Spend less time with people who put you down or who are too focused on appearances and weight

Recognize the effects of the media
Know that the images we see in magazines and on TV are distorted. Nearly all female models and movie stars are very thin (and most male models are large and muscular) - but this is just not how everyone should look. Even the models themselves don’t really look that good - the pictures are often airbrushed and computer-generated. Normal bodies have different shapes and sizes and that’s OK!

Know that diets don’t work
Crash diets do not work and are dangerous to your health! Same with weight gain powders and pills sold to make guys "bigger and more muscular". We have limited control over our weight, so think carefully before trying to fight this "losing battle".

Practice healthy eating and exercise choices
Know the difference between healthy food choices and "a diet". Know the difference between healthy activity/exercise and working out to lose weight.

think you’re too fat?

Sometimes people say they "feel fat" from time to time: this is often a way of expressing that they’re feeling down for some reason (lonely, sad, disappointed, etc.). This is pretty common, and should be balanced by days where they feel pretty good!

But some people feel that their weight is a major problem in their life and can’t stop thinking about it. If this is you, or someone you know, find out more:

You Hate your Body?

How you feel about yourself and your body has a lot to do with self-esteem. Sometimes people feel that they would like themselves better and be happier "if only" they looked differently. This is simply NOT true. Self-esteem and happiness come from within. You need to start appreciating yourself "as is" - everyone is different. Everyone has good qualities and not so good qualities. Everyone has something that makes them beautiful or attractive to other people.

If you hate how your body looks, there are things you can do to feel better about yourself. Learning to like yourself, NOW and as you are right now (not when you lose 10 lbs. or when you can get into a smaller size!) is the key to self-esteem and a healthy body image. emoticon
